As a Southern California native, I spent my early years on the coast familiar with surfing and the culture that surrounds it. This infographic outlines the basic elements of surfing in both California and the United States as a whole. Using a playful color palette and cohesive illustration style, I intended to mix a modern and retro feel to best encompass the nature of surfing in the USA.
