Bound Magazine was created to empower pre-teen girls by promoting positive role models and championing women in sports across the globe. Bound, meaning a leaping movement upward, was chosen to mirror the magazine's intent to encourage young girls to DREAM BIG. This issue focuses on the United States Women's National Soccer Team and their journey in the months prior to the 2023 Women's World Cup. Spotlighting rising star, Mallory Swanson, this issue tells her story in hope of connecting with young athletes across the country. Although most magazines for the pre-teen audience reflect a different aesthetic, Bound was created to stand out. Each page uses substantial photography and color to appeal to the pre-teen demographic and promote greater engagement.
